Who are you?

​My name is Liliana, and I am an occupational therapist with a special interest in adult mental health. I am passionate about neurodiversity, social inclusion, recovery-focused practice, and supporting the loved ones of individuals affected by mental health challenges. The foundation of my work as an occupational therapist is supporting clients in ‘building a life worth living,’ guided by the principles of occupational justice, human values, and trauma-informed care.

What are your core values?

My core values are compassion and hope. Compassion allows me to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel understood and supported. Hope is the belief in the possibility of growth and recovery, even in difficult times. Together, these values guide me in empowering clients to envision and build meaningful lives.

Why did you join the ValuesJam community?

I joined the ValueJam community because values like compassion and hope are central to my work. This community offers a space to connect, learn, and grow with others who share a commitment to values-driven practice

How are you using your ValuesJam card decks?

I utilize the value cards in my work across various settings, including therapeutic sessions, group therapy, and supervision. They serve as a powerful tool to help clients and staff reflect on their values, fostering self-awareness and meaningful discussions. By identifying and exploring personal values, the cards support individuals in setting positive and achievable goals that align with what truly matters to them. 

Favourite rock n roll moment of magic from a ValuesJam session?

I gave the values jam cards to one of my psychology colleagues as a Christmas present: she was so happy with the gift and from that day onward she utilized the card deck as one of her therapeutic tools.

How could more CREATIVITY improve the world?

I believe every human is an artist, and creativity has the power to transform lives. I have seen the benefits of creativity in my work many times, helping individuals express themselves, build confidence, and cultivate self-esteem. Creativity inspires people to believe in their potential and drives communities to innovate and grow, creating a better world.
