While our value of the month is Relationships, we are also celebrating the Twelve Values of the Festive Season
As we approach a time of year when many people will be enjoying festive celebrations there is an English Christmas carol called The Twelve Days of Christmas.
In the ValuesJam studio, we identified these twelve values to celebrate at this time of the year: Compassion, Creativity, Peace, Enjoyment, Faith, Generosity, Gratitude, Inclusion, Kindness, Relationships (including Family & Friendship), Patience and Love.
However, you will be spending the next few weeks, all best wishes from the ValuesJam studio for a restful, peaceful and enjoyable time and we are looking forward to opening Chapter 2026 with the ValuesJam band.

Lingo
You will have noticed that there is a ValuesJam language and here is a guide to help you be ‘in the know’. You will notice the close connection with the language you hear in music circles because of the connection with a music jam eg vibe, play, tune, track, riff, setlist, gig, mic, spotlight etc:
ValuesJam – a playful card game which connects people through values-led conversation
ValuesJammer – somebody who plays the ValuesJam card game
ValuesJamming – playing the ValuesJam game
ValuesJam Founder Member – the first ValuesJammers who signed up right at the beginning of the journey
ValuesJammer Band – the ValuesJammer community as a whole
ValuesJam Stage – any place where ValuesJam is played eg home, club, church, office, factory, bar/restaurant
You will notice that ValuesJam is one word with an upper case V and J. It is always used in full rather than a Jam or Jamming.

ValuesJam The Guest Sessions Series 2025
You can see this year’s Guest Sessions at ValuesJam The Guest Sessions Series – YouTube and there have been some fantastic sessions. You might notice that the number of sessions is less than the previous year due to us being on the road more in 2025 in venues from Cape Town to Porto and Monte Carlo to Inverness.
Please suggest people who you think would make a good guest: relaxed, open, could be well known, connected or with a large network.

How are you using your ValuesJam card deck?
I use in values workshops when people are connecting with their motivation, inner-self, needs to name, feel and articulate the words representing their guiding principles through life. The cards help them see what really matters and they stand for.
Fave rock n roll moment of magic from a ValuesJam session?
How different people understand and interpret the same word. A lot of personal stories connected to it.
How could better RELATIONSHIPS improve the world?
It is all about the human touch and connections. All meaningful relationships (at work, at home, in life) thrive when we show up fully, respect each other’s space, and create together rather than alone. Relationship is active, empathetic, and shared. When we approach relationships this way, we flourish together. Relationships are the invisible threads that hold humanity together. When we approach them with presence, trust, empathy, and co-creation, like in tango:
